Dear Crestview Parents and Community Members,

As the principal of Crestview Middle School, I am excited to share our vision. All students deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we are committed to providing them with the academic, social, and emotional support needed to become successful and productive global citizens.

Our vision is centered on Excellence through Academics, Leadership & Service, and Extracurriculars.  In addition, we value Connections to each other, through the curriculum, and to our community.

Excellence in Academics

All students should have access to a rigorous and challenging academic program. We offer a variety of courses to meet the needs of all learners, and we are committed to providing support for students who need it. It is also important for students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We encourage our students to ask questions, collaborate, and think outside the box.

Leadership & Service

All students should have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills. Students are expected to be leaders of themselves for the service of others.  We also encourage our students to participate in community service projects. It is important for students to learn how to give back to their communities.

Extra-curriculars

Extra-curricular activities are an important part of a well-rounded education. We offer a variety of clubs and activities for students to choose from, including arts, music, athletics, and academics. Extra-curricular activities help students to develop their talents and interests. They also allow students to make friends and learn new skills.

Connections

It is important for students to feel connected to each other, to the curriculum, and to our community. We foster connections between students by providing opportunities for them to collaborate on projects, to participate in group activities, and to get to know each other simply. We also connect to the curriculum by allowing students to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world situations. Finally, we connect to our community by partnering with local businesses and organizations. It is important for students to feel like they are part of something bigger than themselves.

We are committed to providing our students with the best possible education. Our focus on Excellence in Academics, Leadership and Service, and Extracurriculars will prepare our students for success in high school, college, and beyond.
